Resol incorporates artificial intelligence into its manufacturing processes
We are taking another step forward in our commitment to industrial innovation with the development of technology based on artificial intelligence to improve quality control in the manufacture of your products.
Technology at the service of quality
The project, part of the Digital Innovation Hub of Catalonia (DIH4CAT), led by ACCIÓ, has been supported by 60,000 euros and has been developed in collaboration with the Eurecat technology centre, which has facilitated the design of the system and validated its effectiveness as a scalable solution for industrial quality control.
The system developed by Resol is capable of detecting defects in the dimensions, weight and surface finish of the parts, including colour variations, imperfections and defects derived from the plastic injection process. Thanks to 2D and 3D cameras integrated into a proprietary control system, the technology allows results to be visualised and data to be analysed in real time, facilitating material reduction, improving productivity and operational efficiency, and helping to significantly reduce production scrap.
Innovation for a more efficient industry
According to Resol's industrial and innovation director, Miguel Pérez Planas, "this project, promoted by ACCIÓ and DIH4CAT, together with Eurecat, has allowed us to accelerate innovation to develop increasingly sustainable products and, at the same time, improve our production processes".
The incorporation of artificial vision is being key to focus Resol' s industrialisation in a more efficient and effective way, allowing this technology to be applied to the company's main production lines. Its implementation represents a significant advance in the integration of intelligent technologies in the industrial environment, in line with Resol 's desire to evolve towards more efficient, sustainable and future-proof processes.
